The service

Convertola converts still JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, TIFF, BMP, and ICO images that you upload, and it can turn audio or video you already have into MP3 in your browser. There is no account. The published limits are part of the service.

Acceptable use

Convert only files you own or have the right to convert. Do not use the service for unlawful content, to interfere with the site, or to bypass a limit. Do not attempt to access another person’s converted file.

Results and quality

JPEG and WebP output are lossy at the quality you select. PNG stays lossless unless you choose fewer colors. TIFF and BMP do not apply a quality setting. GIF is one still frame, and ICO stores a PNG inside an icon. A conversion can make a file larger, and it cannot restore detail that an earlier lossy file already lost.

A success message is shown only when the converted file is available. Availability of a past download ends when the link expires.

Availability

The service may reject a file, apply a rate limit, or be unavailable. Limits can change to keep the service reliable. The page you use shows the limits in effect.

Your files

You keep the rights you already have in your images. Uploading a file gives Convertola permission to process it only to provide the conversion and the temporary download. Files are deleted after 15 minutes.

No extra warranty

The converter is provided as it is available. It is not warranted to be uninterrupted, to preserve every pixel of a lossy source, or to fit a particular purpose. Mandatory rights where you live still apply.

Responsibility

You are responsible for the files you upload and for checking the download before you rely on it. To the extent the law allows, liability for using the service is limited. These terms do not choose a court or cancel rights that cannot legally be waived.

The current terms are the ones published on this page. The updated date changes when they change.
